1. Visit a winery together
These are spontaneous things you can do with your friends in Melbourne.
Price: a little bit on the expensive side
Wineries are the perfect place to escape the busy city. It's also the perfect place to get a little boozy and finally have that long deep conversation with the girls. 2. Visit the National Gallery of Victoria
Price: Entry to the NGV Collection is free but entry fees may apply to special exhibitions
This one's a no-brainer. The dearly beloved NGV is known to all Melburnians which makes it the perfect place to get lost in art with your bestie. Grab a coffee and some snacks by the food trucks outside before you go in or if you prefer something boujee, book a seat in the NGV tea room/cafe for some high-tea and pastries. Don't forget to take lots of photos and spend time in their design store too! There are lots to do besides taking in the art.
3. Do a picnic with a 100% bio-degradable grill
Price: I bought mine at $15 at Big W
Now this one was lots of fun. I rarely grill but since discovering this "one time use only eco-friendly grill", it has never been easier to grill any time, anywhere! Made only from cardboard, lava stones, bamboo sticks and charcoal, I was so surprised it was able to cook up food so quick! This isn't a sponsored post and so far, I've tried it a couple of times (one time on my balcony at home and at a picnic at the park) I felt the same level of excitement using it and it hasn't gotten old. I bought it online at Big W here. Once you finish using it, let it cool down and toss it in the green bin.
4. Visit Nick & Nora's in the CBD for their punch bowls
Price: Punchbowl prices start from $20 pp (min. 4 people)
Grab a few friends and head over to this swanky bar located on 80 Collins Street. Known for their 1930-themed luxe interior, this bar does really cool cocktails. The thing that stood out to me the most was their punch bowls. Their prices are a bit on the expensive side so I recommend this place if you've been wanting to plan a night out with the girls for some time already...
5. Visit Camberwell Sunday Market
Price: From a gold coin to bargain prices.
This one is for the people who love adventure and a good bargain. I heard through the grapevine that if you go really early, you'll find great deals in the pre-loved section. I'm talking high fashion, retro furniture and even collectables (at VERY cheap prices). Discover treasures with your bestie or if you even want to switch it up, rally some of your entrepreneurial friends and set up your own shop there.
